Codification of a page is performed thus:
The output of codification is a codex, compiled code, and an expansion.
Each pass through the loop above is called a 'reading', so the loop consists of 1st reading, 2nd reading, 3rd reading, and so on until two successive codices are equal. Codification always comprises at least two readings since otherwise there are no two codices to compare.
